Lampe Breakthrough! Flashback 177 Years

Hi all my lovely family :)

So remember this post: Lampes: My German Brickwall?  Well, I do LOL because it was such a concern of mine that I could not get past Fritz Lampe.  Well I'm proud to say, it is a brickwall no longer :)

I want to start off by laying out the tree so you know where I'm at.

Veronica Bax's parents were:  Peter Bax and Mary Eva Lampe.
Mary Eva Lampe's parents were: Frederick Lampe and Anna Evers.
It was this Frederick Lampe that I was stuck on.

His information is:
Born: December 31, 1839 Lastrup, Germany
Baptized: January 4, 1840
Immigrated:  June 6, 1870
1st Marriage: Bernadine Goodmann
2nd Marriage: Anna Evers  February 24, 1876 St. Thomas, Cole, Missouri

177 Years ago (on March 7, 1839) in Lastrup, German, a groom and bride were being married. Their names? Frederich Joseph Antonius Lampe and Elisabetha Maria Quatmann.

On December 31, 1839 they had a son: Frederick Lampe.

This family was in Lastrup for several years before Friedrich or Fritz immigrated to the United States in 1870 on the Weser.

Traveling with him was his future first wife: Bernadine Gudemann/Gutemann also from Oldenburg. His sister married Bernadine's brother.

The Gudemanns were both miller families. So they may have known each other well in Lastrup

More about Lastrup:
Lastrup is a municipality in the district of Cloppenburg, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated approximately 15 km southwest of Cloppenburg.

Moving forward:

Frederich Joseph Lampe and Maria Elizabeth Quatmann were married  March 7, 1839 in Lastrup, Germany.

I also located the names of Frederich Joseph Lampe and Maria Elizabeth Quatmanns parents!

I ran out of time at the library today so I wasnt able to look further back but here is the bare bones of what I've found so far.

More to come as I research more and get back to the library :)
