Family! Meeting Cousins :)

For my James family I wanted to share a couple of the pictures I took down in Bollinger county. :)  It was a beautiful Saturday filled with meeting some wonderful people that I'm very happy to say we are related to!

These lovely ladies were so nice to take us on a driving tour!

Our first stop was to the Lower Grassy cemetery where John and Elizabeth Jackson James are buried along with John and Amanda Cooper Robbins.  (These are my third great grandparents.  Orville > Alphus > Caleb/Rebecca > John/Elizabeth & John/Amanda.) The landscape was beautiful with the leaves all changing colors and it was very quiet and peaceful.

Time has definitely not been kind to John & Elizabeth's tombstone.

After the cemetery we were taken to where John's farm would have been and what might have once been where Caleb or his siblings had a plot of land.

We had a conversation about trying to raise money to replace John/Elizabeth's tombstone due to its disrepair and maybe having a family reunion down there.   Anyone have any ideas? or does this sound like something anyone would want to help do?
